There are two pavilion areas we may use. The first choice is a large pavilion with adjoining restroom. This is next to a parking lot at the intersection of Dekalb Dr. and Georgia Way.

The second choice pavilion is a large gazebo structure in a field next to the playground area.

We will post specifics the day of the event on our Discord channel, or stop by the park and check those locations for the Atlanta Bar Citizen banner.

What to Bring

Chanticrow, the organizer, is bringing a few pounds of brisket, steak, or smoked pork.

You should bring:

  • Your own drink. Alcohol is not allowed in the park. (Dunwoody Code Sec. 25-32)
  • Snacks or a side dish. If you want something other than meats.
  • A camp chair. Park seating may be limited.

Attendance is free. You do NOT need a convention badge to attend.

This year’s Atlanta Bar Citizen swag is PIPS can coolers. Take a reminder of the great taste of PIPS soda wherever you go!

We will also have some ship and flair giveaways courtesy of CIG and our local members.

Event space is located at: CNN Food Court, 190 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

Driving/Parking:

  • Google/Waze are your friends.
  • There are several parking decks and lots immediately across from the CNN building on the other side of Centennial Olympic Park Dr.

On Marta:

  • Take Marta to Peachtree Center Station.
  • Exit the station at the Peachtree St exit.
  • Go south on Peachtree St until arriving at Andrew Young International Blvd.
  • Follow directions “From DragonCon hotels”.

From DragonCon hotels:

  • Follow Peachtree St to Andrew Young International Blvd.
  • Head west past the AmericasMart until arriving at Centennial Olympic Park Dr.
  • Head south on Centennial Olympic Park Dr. until arriving at Marietta St.
  • The CNN building is on the next block.

Madhatters is an all ages venue.

Bring your own food and drink, or eat before the event. No alcohol at the venue, please.

Hang out, talk Star Citizen, play Star Citizen, and try Madhatter’s onsite VR FPS game, Warpoint.

We will have Star Citizen loaded on the PCs at Madhatters for those that want to get some game time.
PC gaming is $5 per hour.

We will be in the playground gazebo area. Turn off North Peachtree onto Georgia Way, then take the immediate right into the playground parking area.

Since all gazebos are first come, first served we will acquire what space we can.

Look for the Atlanta Bar Citizen banner.

Safety

The threat of COVID-19 is still present in any public space. Vaccination and masks are not mandatory, but are encouraged.

If you are ill, please do not attend. We will miss you, but look forward to seeing you well and whole at the next event.

By attending, you acknowledge that you attend at your own risk.
